Clayton's

The annual Clayton party was a huge success as always! It's usually held at a restraunt simply because of the size of Jason's family. However, this past year, his Uncle Wynn & Aunt Kay moved into a large enough house to fit us all in. I was so excited, after all, the restraunt never felt like a comfy family gathering like a house can bring. (not to sound ungrateful or anything :)) It started with yummy food like always, then moved on to the gift giving from Great Grandma Clayton. She amazes me with her generosity and love she has for her family. She still takes the time to shop and personally pick out a gift for all her grandkids and great grandkids. & it always seems to be the perfect gift for my kiddos. Next, the adults got to play the usual gift exchanging game we always play. It was a blast as always, and Jas and I scored movie tickets, complete with gift cards for the concessions to top it off! We are so excited to be able to go on a date in the near future!!

Aunt Lisa from London is always so great to play with the kids and give them much attention. Even though they only see her once, maybe twice a year, they all adore her.

After the presents had all been opened and the night felt like it were coming to an end, KayLynn led us all into the front room to gather around the piano and sing Christmas songs. To our (the kids') surprise, while we were in the middle of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", who barges in??? Santa Claus!!! The kids were extatic!

He was the greatest Santa ever! He took a little time for each kid, and afterwars sat them all down to remind us all the true meaning of Christmas. He ended with having us sing "Silent Night" while he left. It sounds too good to be true, but honestly, it felt like we were in the movies! (how more cheesy can I get?!?) Hahaha!

I was able to hear Austin telling him he wants Spiderman Sketchers.

Sadie could barely sit still while she waited her turn to talk to him.

She, of course stuck to her same answer, and told him princess toys.

And Logan, well he just didn't want to talk to him. He wasn't afraid, he sat by him, and answered his questions, but like he told me; "I've already sent him my letter". And when I asked him if he just wanted to stand by him to get a candy cane, he replied with "I have enough at home"! Can't argue with that! :)

He likes to try and play pool with the big boys downstairs, Unfortunately they never let him in on it. Sorry bud, maybe next time.
