Father/Son's outing

The boys were off to the Father/Sons outing for dinner. They weren't able to stay the night because Jason had to work the next morning. But it's a good thing, because Sadie had a mishap while we were at home, and Austin grabbed a lantern on the outing, burning his fingers pretty badly. Sadie was about to go to bed, when she fell right into the corner of the wall, and split the inside of her lip pretty bad. Needless to say, when they got home, we were in for a long night between the 2 injuries. Not to mention, Logan had an allergy attack while up there also. So, by the time they got home, he could barely see through his swollen eyes. He was honestly not even recognizable. Luckily, he was worn out enough that he was able to sleep through all the crying that went on with the other two. By morning, Austin's hand still hurt, but not nearly as bad, and Sadie took about an hour to cheer up. But the fact that she did, was fantastic! I worried the whole night that we would end up going to the instacare for stitches. Luckily, it looked good enough we could tell that it was okay. She was quite the trooper through it all.

 I held her for most of the night, because every time she moved or did anything, she would cry out in horrible pain. It was heartbreaking to watch her be in that much pain all night.

I have to say, this all happened only because we had the kids scheduled for pictures that Saturday night. Austin would have been fine, but Sadie's right side of her face was pretty swollenand bruised, and Logan's eyes were still swollen as well. When he smiled, it just didn't look like him. :) So... pictures were put off until the middle of June... bummer.
