Since Jason's birthday was the day before Thanksgiving this year, he was able to take the day off of work!! We were so excited, and thought we had it planned out already. But when we woke up that morning and the weather was AMAZING, we knew we had to take advantage of the day. Luckily Jason remembered we still had free zoo day passes that we needed to use up before they expire in December! That was that, change of plans, and we were off to the zoo!!
The fall is definitely the best time for a zoo visit. The crowds were pretty much nonexistent, the weather was fantastic, and I have literally never seen the animals so active! Baby Zuri was running all over the place playing, the tigers were up and walking around, I saw the gorillas up and moving for probably the first time ever, the boys were excited to finally spot the wolf, and the giraffes were simply hilarious. The caretaker was trying to make a spot for a snowman made out of pumpkins, and one of the giraffes would not leave her alone.
