We were able to drive for Austin's class field trip to the local pumkin patch! It was cold, but pretty fun. The owner of the place, however, didn't end up showing up at all. So, we weren't able to do the hay ride, or purchase any pumpkins as planned. But, the kids could still play in the maze, all over the hay bails, the corn, and pet the animals. Despite the disappiontment of no ride, they all had a good ol' time.
Austin and his good little buddy, William
Waiting for someone to come so we could ride this... they never came. :(
The birthday girls!!
I couldn't get her to stand still long enough for a picture. She loved running through this little maze over & over again.

After the field trip, we were able to run some boring errands, and kill some time until Jason could bome home from work. One of the stops we HAD to make, was of course Krispy Kreme! I never can pass up their holiday dozen! Lucky for me, Sadie has my same great taste in treats.
All week, I kept asking her what she wanted for her birthday dinner. & her answer was the same every time... PIZZA!! (seriously... she's like me in SO many ways) But since Jason had to work that day, and I didn't really want to end up somewhere very late for dinner, we made our own homemade pizza at home, and the kids had a blast making them!
She couldn't wait to get under her yellow blanket that night for bed!

Sadie sat on the couch & the boys piled them all on top of her. We had taken her earlier that week to pick out some bedding for her "pretty bed", as she calls it. She's been in her big bed for a while now, but we were waiting for her birthday to get her some fun new bedding. Even though she knew what they were, she was still so excited to open her new decorative pillows that she had picked out. She loved it! We went right upstairs to set it all up.

Here she is right after putting it on. She was most excited for that purple pillow that she is holding. Once she spotted it in the store, there was no putting it back in her opinion. It was love at first sight! The bedding is missing a whole row of huge pillows that will go in the back, but we need to buy the actuall pillows to fill the cases. & we are so excited to have bedding so that we can finally choose some paint to go on her boring white walls. I can't wait to finally get her room a little more together!!

The best part of having a birthday the same week as Halloween, is that it feels like you have parties just for you all week long! I think she would agree with me. She definitely thought that every Halloween celebration was all about us. My favorite part of that day was whenever someone would sing Happy Birthday to her, she would interupt them with her own finish singing Happy Birthday to Mommy! When it came to sharing her birthday with her old Mommy, she seemed to love every bit of it just as much as I do. She was so cute to tell people that we were the birthday girls everywhere we went. This little girl of mine is something special, and my last 4 birthdays have definitely been the best with her in my life! She was, still is, and always will be the best birthday present I could dream of.
