As always, we went camping at Starvation Res. for Labor day weekend with Jason's family. And, as always, we had a blast. As soon as we got there, the unloading & preparation took off. While we were setting up tents and such, the kids started making a spot for their fire pit. They were so proud!

The first night, the kids roasted marshmallows, and ate smores.

The next morning, after a great breakfast, we headed down to the beach for some sun time, and boating.

Later that day, while we were back at the campsite, Austin got stung by a bee on his hand. Jason immediately put mud over it, but it didn't seem to help the pain at all. Once he settled down, and we were visiting with family again, we noticed that he was sitting on a bench with his hand in a bucket of cold water. He claimed it was helping, while the other kids all kept dumping more & more water into the bucket. He sat there like this for quite a while. It was pretty funny.
Sadie, copying Austin.
Right before they jumped off the front of the boat...
He really didn't land on his back, he jumped backwards, but went in head first. The camera just happened to take at this moment. I think it looks hilarious.
Our first year to use our brand new tent! We have always used my dad's tent, but the last time we did, we felt like we were growing out of it. So, we finally purchased one, and are sooo excited about it! There was so much room inside to move around and keep our bags comfortably.
